8th International Street and Puppet Theatre Festival “Puppet Fair 2014”

If you still believe in magic and you are not the ‘puppets-and-clowns-are-only-for-kids’ type, you should visit the 8th International Street and Puppet Theatre Festival “Puppet Fair 2014”. From the 16th to the 22nd of September: Puppet theaters from over 10 countries, including Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Spain, France, and Italy will take part in the festival and will show how puppets will be both funny and magical for kids as well as open to share their wisdom with the adults.

Alongside the indoor theater performances during the festival, you will see street theatre, acrobatics, clown shows, pantomime, etc. These open air events will take place in the city center – in front of the National Palace of Culture close to the currently under renovation monument, as well as City Garden next to the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov” and in the Zaimov Park on Yanko Sakazov blvd, close to the Vasil Levski Monument. The entire programme of the festival is prepared very carefully for kids, adults and whole families which will not disappoint anyone of the attendees.

If you want to take part in a special biennial event which gives a unique feeling of something magical going on in the city for all Sofia guests and locals, this would be it.
